About Carol Dieckmann, Jungian Therapist
Carol Dieckmann is a Jungian analyst in private practice and she also works as visionary spiritual guide (individuals/groups), facilitating non-ordinary states of consciousness through non-medicinal means to forge a relationship to the spirit of the depths, the symbolic field, the language of Psyche. Her work emphasizes the alchemical processes by which the element of lead or the nigredo, unseen dynamics within the psyche are transformed into gold – the philosopher’s stone, psyche’s attempt at bringing in the wholeness of each individual. This is the path of individuation, becoming our true authentic self, bringing that which is unconscious into conscious awareness and living that out in the world.
Biography
Carol works from the foundations of Jungian thought and from her early age experiences of spontaneous visionary states of consciousness. These two experiences have joined together over the years, giving her and others a working vessel for the numinous experiences of Psyche.
Earlier in life she worked as a pediatric nurse, while obtaining a B.S. in psychology. Moving to New Mexico in 2003, she attended Southwestern College in Santa Fe gaining a Masters in Counseling. She did her internship in Malawi Africa, working with Novice nuns and boys in seminary in the small town of Rumphi. Carol attended Jungian training at the Denver, Colorado institute of which she is an active member as well as the Santa Fe Jung Institute. Carol was invited to be a founding member of the new San Diego Jung Institute in 2025. She resides in the foothills of the Jemez Mountains on Cochiti Lake, New Mexico, home to a deep wellspring of indigenous traditions.
Carol is accepting new clients at this time. Her practice operates from her beautiful property just outside of Santa Fe, New Mexico.
